some very very funky cats eye shaped glassesa very old school reading book of Annancy stories
i had a quick check to make sure it wasn't rascist as so many books with black characters of this period are
before reading the first story to my son
i love the illustrations and the story
a bag of vintage stamps these were my favouritesi love space stamps
nice medallion - i guess you would've had it engraved
me in the "Aunty Thelma glasses" my Aunty has always worn this style of glasses
so i had to get them!!!!
the lenses are sooooo strong!

in a blue rose pattern very 50's
it had
6x cups/saucers
6x tea plates
6x larger plates
and
5x bowls
shame i have nowhere to display it or store it!!!

The medallion is pure gorgeousness, I love it as it is, without engravings... As for the book, are you familiar with the work of Neil Gaiman, particularly his novel "Anansi Boys" - he took the story of this very same Anansi and made it into a wonderful fantasy-slash-real-life-slash-adventure novel that adults and children enjoy alike. (Just a disclaimer, I'm not a fantasy person at all, but this is one of my favorite novels of all times none-the-less.)
Wow. Did it take you a long time to get all these great finds? I'm sure it'd take me an ENTIRE day.
Are you going to do something about those reading glasses? Wait, you don't need reading glasses, do you? :)

I'm pretty sure my Mum had glasses like that. Wow you must have had a headache after trying to see through them, they look MEGA strong. :)
