school's out for summer!

"proud artist"

I can't believe my little boy has finished
his first school year already!

"teacher gift"

thanks to his lovely teacher
he has really enjoyed school, he got a great school report, a scrapbook full of lovely and interesting observations and his speech has come on briliantly infact i'd go so far as to say it was as good as the rest of his classmates
:o)

"cute writing"

Don't you just love the way they get their letters
flipped round when they're learning?
At the beach the other day he wrote his name in the sand upside down and mirrored at the same time, i doubt he could've if he'd been trying too!

The canvas painting of his teacher was my sons own idea, he had decorated her a tote bag for christmas and he was very proud when she told him how much she liked it and used it for her "show and tell" :o)

i managed to summon up a little bit of crafty-ness and made her a mother-of-pearl button bracelet, which she was wearing and thanked me for when i collected him :o)

doesn't time just fly by?
oh yeah

*whispers*
i was forty nearly two weeks ago

oh I remember my daughter and my sons first years at school... now my daughter goes to bigger school so crying started at old one...

your son looks like he got something really important after mum - creativity - well done and good luck on growing this talent

you are only as old as you feel.. whcih means I'm about 85. H's last day is friday so today through friday I'm enjoying the 'me time' with minimal housework and maximum coffee and cold drinks in the garden.

its a beautiful painting, much better than H would do as he is too fidgity to sit still long enough to do anything more than hasty stick figures that only vaguely resemble stick figures.

so very glad you are crafting again! pictures please.. and make some button stamper kits to sell in your shop! *stamps foot*

What a lovely present, you must be bursting with pride! And how nice he seems to share your creative bent too! I am insanely jealous, my boys don't appear to have ANYTHING of me in them :(

Though some may say thats a good thing :)

Your blog is so lovely!
My family called me Eoz for years, as I couldn't get to grips with spelling Zoe!
